Questions
Our comprehensive termite inspection covers your entire property including the interior, exterior, subfloor, roof void, and surrounding grounds. Using our Termatrac T3i radar technology and a moisture meter, we detect live termite activity without any invasive procedures. The inspection typically takes about an hour, a little longer for larger properties.
A professional termite inspection with Radar Pest Control costs $280. This includes full Termatrac T3i radar scanning, moisture detection, and a detailed digital report. You can save $60 by combining it with our general pest treatment in our Complete Protection package for $480.
The Termatrac T3i is the world's most advanced termite detection device, combining microwave radar to detect movement behind walls with moisture detection to find conditions conducive to termites. Not all pest controllers have this technology: it's what sets Radar Pest Control apart.
No, our inspection is completely non-invasive. The Termatrac T3i radar technology allows us to detect termite activity behind walls, in floor cavities, and in roof spaces without drilling, cutting, or any physical damage. This is a significant advantage over older inspection methods.
If we detect termite activity, we'll document it thoroughly with photos and radar readings in your report. We'll then discuss treatment options with you, including targeted treatments for active infestations and preventive barrier systems. We won't pressure you: we'll explain all options so you can make an informed decision.
Yes. Even new homes can be at risk, especially on the Sunshine Coast where termite pressure is extreme. While new homes should have a termite management system installed during construction (per AS3660.1), these systems need regular inspection to ensure they remain effective. Annual inspections are recommended from year one.
A building inspection assesses the structural condition of a property (foundations, roofing, plumbing), while a termite inspection specifically looks for termite activity, damage, and conditions conducive to termites. For pre-purchase situations, we recommend both. Our termite inspections comply with AS3660.2 and include detailed timber pest assessment.
Please ensure the inspector has access to all areas including the subfloor, roof void, garage, and any outbuildings. Move items stored against external walls and clear access to the meter box area. If you have any areas of concern or have noticed potential termite signs, let us know when booking so we can pay special attention to those areas.
Your Radar Pest Control report will clearly identify: areas where live termite activity was detected, areas with termite damage (past or present), conditions conducive to termite activity (moisture, wood-to-soil contact, poor ventilation), and our recommended actions with priority levels. We use plain language: no confusing industry jargon. Mick personally reviews every report with you and answers questions before you leave.
Yes, we can inspect in light rain: the Termatrac T3i radar technology works regardless of weather conditions since it detects movement through solid materials. However, heavy rain may make external access difficult (subfloor entry, roof access). In those cases, we'll reschedule the external portion at no extra cost. Interestingly, damp conditions can actually make termite activity easier to detect with our moisture sensors.
Don't wait for termites to cause expensive damage: detect them early with professional inspection
