Wasp Sting Treatments
For individuals who have been stung by a wasp and are only experiencing mild symptoms, there are several things you can do to get relief.- Remove the stinger by gently brushing it off with a cloth in one direction
- Wash the wound with soap and water
- Apply a cold compression to help reduce the swelling
- Keep the area clean and dry so that it doesn’t get infected
- Use OTC hydrocortisone cream to help with the itch
- Use an OTC pain reliever or antihistamine, if needed
