After your service

What Happens After Treatment

It's a gradual process: here's the sequence to expect once the treatment is down.

1

Your Service Is Complete

Once you have received a service from Radar Pest Control, it's important to know what to expect from the products and the pests that were targeted.

2

Numbers Start Dropping

First of all, you should see a drastic reduction in the number of targeted pests in and around your home or problem areas the weeks following your service.

3

Contact Triggers the Treatment

Keep in mind the target pest will have to come into contact with the treated area or consume any bait before the treatment can begin to take effect.

By pest

What to Expect, Pest by Pest

Each pest responds to treatment a little differently: here's what's normal for each.

Cockroaches

If cockroaches were an issue, you may see a few on their backs, slow moving and/or seem lethargic over the next couple weeks, which means the product is working. If you see a big cockroach in the months after the service, it may have flown in from somewhere else and may need to come into contact with a treated surface, so don't fret. If you continue to see them, please let us know and we can organise an additional service.

Ants

Internal ant problems should gradually reduce over a few days, with overall numbers declining for 1-2 weeks afterward. You may still notice the odd ant outside due to surrounding pressure of vegetation or the presence of other colonies in a neighbouring property/area. With outside and surrounding conditions being a big factor in ant pressure, expect a treatment to last from 3 months.

Spiders

Spiders can be persistent and stick around a little longer if a direct treatment is not able to be carried out. You see, in order for the product to work at its best to directly treat a spider, alternatively the insect has to walk over the product and get it on their bodies. Since most spiders don't drag their bodies and walk up off the ground, they may not get as much product on them, so it may take a bit longer. If you're still seeing a lot after 2-3 weeks please contact us.
